Consulting firm Syncata Corp. has partnered with Reliable Computer Solutions (RCS) of White Pigeon, Mich., to provide Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) members with the Syncata CoreTREAD software for a third of the list cost.
The lower software cost will reduce the expenses related to complying with the Transportation Recall, Enhancement Accountability and Documentation (TREAD) Act, according to the companies.
The TREAD Act requires RV and other vehicle manufacturers to submit reports to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) about consumer complaints as well as warranty and legal claims and field reports required by the legislation.
“Syncata first identified TREAD as an issue back in 2001, so their domain knowledge is second to none,” said Ed Troyer, CEO of RCS. “As an organization that since 1988 has offered warranty and manufacturing software for many companies in the RV industry, we’re pleased to join forces with Syncata to provide the RVIA and other association members with a low-risk, low-cost alternative for getting TREAD compliance fast.”
The agreement calls for RCS to provide hosting, installation, maintenance and support services for the new hosted and monthly fee-based pricing models. Syncata will provide consulting services and its CoreTREAD Engine specialty configured compact application.
Syncata will be implementing CoreTREAD for Class A motorhome manufacturer Tiffin Motor Home Inc., Red Bay, Ala., this week.
Syncata now offers the following pricing options for CoreTREAD:
• $16,000 for the licensing option, which includes all software and installation.
• $1,000 down and $1,000 a month with a minimum two-year commitment for the monthly payment option, which includes maintenance and support.
• $1,000 down and $1,300 a month with a minimum two-year commitment for the hosted option, which includes maintenance and support.
