Matthew Barnes of manufacturer Grand Design RV Co. was the winner of an iPad from Truma as part of their promotion of a new RV product to be unveiled by Truma at the National RV Trade Show in Louisville Dec. 2-4. According to a press release, several winners of Truma LevelCheck ultrasonic propane tank fill level indicators were also drawn.

As a way of introducing itself to the American RV community, Truma delivered boxes of pastries to RV manufacturers during the Elkhart RV Open House in September. Information with the deliveries provided a web page address where those involved with the sale and manufacture of RVs could sign up to receive a “sneak preview” e-mail in November about Truma’s new product. Those who signed up were entered in a drawing for an iPad and for one of 10 Truma LevelChecks, which detects the level of LP gas remaining in a container.

In conjunction with the launch of its new made-for-America product, Truma will be hosting RV manufacturers and dealers at the Truma Christkindlmarkt 2014 celebration on Dec. 3-4 at 5:30 p.m. in Booth No. 192-195, where they can enjoy some holiday flavor with authentic German Lebkuchen (gingerbread) and Glühwein (Christmas wine).

Truma has been a top supplier to the RV market in Europe, Australia and a number of other countries for the past 65 years. This is the first time it has established a presence in the American market, and it has opened a facility in Elkhart.
