Recent exposure on Home & Garden Television’s (HGTV) cable channel program about 2004 RV models dramatically increased the number of hits to Dutchmen Manufacturing Inc.’s website, according to Joe Hosinski, marketing manager.
Dutchmen’s teardrop-shaped, European design-inspired [email protected] ultralight trailer was among the 2004 models featured on the HGTV program, which aired March 21, 22 and Saturday (April 3).
The number of hits to Dutchmen’s website, www.dutchmen-rv.com, were up by 250% during the week following the March 21 and 22 airing of the program, and the company’s website hits were up 100% after the Saturday showing, when compared with the typical weekend, Hosinski said.
The HGTV program was taped during the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association’s California RV Show in Pomona in October.
In addition to the [email protected], the other 2004 models featured on the HGTV show included: Carriage Inc.’s XTRM5 five-slide fifth-wheel; Tiffin Motor Home’s 40-foot triple-slide Allegro bus; Country Coach’s Magna ‘04 and Fleetwood’s GearBox ramp trailer.
Hosinki added that it is likely the other manufacturers with products featured on the HGTV program experienced similar website traffic increases.
Dutchmen is a subsidiary of Thor Industries Inc.
HGTV is owned by E.W. Scripps Co.
