Two of Alaska’s largest RV dealerships, A&M RV Center and Pacific RV, both of Anchorage, recently combined, A&M owner Mike Gailey reported to the Anchorage Daily News.
Pacific RV was a unit of an auto dealership, Pacific Motors Group, which decided to sell its RV division to better concentrate on its auto sales and service operations, according to Pacific Motors spokesman Steve Weurth.
Meanwhile, as far as A&M is concerned, the acquisition of Pacific RV “takes us to the next level in our plan to expand and improve our RV services to Alaskans and will help A&M RV Center attain the economies of scale necessary to meet the growing demands of Alaskan RVers,” Gailey said.
Pacific RV’s name will be changed to A&M RV Dowling and it will remain at 1300 E. Dowling Rd., Anchorage.
All service and warranty repairs for Pacific RV customers will take place at A&M RV Center, 2225 E. Fifth Ave., Anchorage.
Pacific RV sold units built by National RV, Monaco’s Holiday Rambler subsidiary, Gulf Stream, Thor’s Dutchmen and Keystone subsidiaries, Nash and Forest River, according to the Pacific RV website.
