Screen Shot 2015-01-14 at 1.38.41 PMCelebrating its 41st year, the annual Valley RV & Camping Show returns to Century Center in South Bend, Ind., this weekend.

Hosted by the Recreation Vehicle Indiana Council Inc., the Jan. 16-18 event is the first Northern Indiana show of 2015 and will feature RVs from seven of the region’s top dealers. On display and on sale will be a variety of lightweight to full-size travel trailers, fifth-wheels, toy haulers and motorhomes.

According to a press release, more families than ever before are finding that RV vacations cost substantially less than other forms of vacation travel, even when factoring in fuel prices and cost of ownership. A new study by PKF consulting found that an RV vacation can save up to 62% from other forms of travel.

“RVing is a fun, flexible and affordable way for families to spend quality time in the outdoors,” said Matt Rose, director of recreation vehicles with RVIC. “In addition to vacation travel, owners use RVs for tailgating, travel with pets and to participate in outdoor sports and other leisure activities.”

The Valley RV & Camping Show will also include campground exhibits and RV accessories. RV factory reps will be on hand and dealers will be offering show pricing.

The 41st Annual Valley RV & Camping show kicks off Friday morning at 10 a.m.
