Screen-Shot-2014-04-03-at-1.18.31-PMThe Vermont Campground Association (VCA), in existence since 1964, is producing its first trade show at the Barre Civic Center the weekend of April 11-13.

According to a press release, the Vermont Camping and Outdoor Show will feature exhibits and representatives from over two dozen campgrounds, over 10 recreational vehicle or truck dealerships, five New England camping associations, and over twenty companies/organizations of interest to fans of the outdoors.

VCA’s executive director, Peter Daniels, believes the healthy growth of the outdoor tourism industry in Vermont and surrounding states since the beginning of the economic recovery is going to continue as “Baby Boomers retire and remember camping as one of the most economic and enjoyable ways to be together with family members. We plan for this yearly event to grow along with the industry.”

VCA members are Vermont private and public campgrounds and affiliates. VCA provides administrative and marketing service for its members through publication and distribution of the Vermont Campground Guide, website, production of the camping & outdoor show, and legislative support.
