While the real estate market is down in many areas of the country, there is still considerable demand for luxury RV sites, according to a news release from Las Vegas-based Kennedy Commercial, which is developing resorts in Nevada and Montana.
“We average about 200 to 300 calls per month, and many of the RV enthusiasts we’ve spoken with are not nearly as focused on affordability as they are on exclusivity,” said Matt Brimhall, vice president of sales for Kennedy Commercial, which is developing Solstice Motorcoach Resort & Country Club in Mesquite, located 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas.
The guard-gated, country club style resort, which is being developed on a lushly landscaped slope overlooking Mesquite, features 211 RV sites that are among the largest in the country. Many of the sites front manmade rivers, which run through the resort.
Lot sizes range from 2,500 to 15,000 square feet and include water, sewer, 50-amp electricity, telephone and wireless Internet service. Lots are being sold as deeded property and are being developed with custom-designed bungalows that provide additional living space for dining and entertaining, storage and office purposes.
Resort amenities include a swimming pool, fitness center and club house, plus around-the-clock entertainment and convenient access to restaurants and shopping as well as seven local golf courses, including Wolf Creek Golf Course, which was rated by Golf Digest as one of the top 25 courses in the nation.
“This is a resort that allows the motorcoach owner to enjoy a level of luxury that is simply not available in most RV resorts,” said Brimhall, whose company is developing the motorcoach resort and adjoining Solstice Resort and Hotel Casino.
In addition to Solstice, Kennedy Commercial is developing a 150-acre luxury RV resort on the Clark Fork River near Missoula, Mont., which is designed to appeal to Sunbelt-based RV enthusiasts who are looking for a cooler place to spend the summer.
