Terry Loomis of Roanoke, Va., is the winner of a Class A motorhome as a result of entering the contest sponsored by Gulf Stream Coach Corp. and Workhorse Custom Chassis.

Loomis’ model year 2001 Gulf Stream Conquest built on a Workhorse chassis with a GM Vortec 8100 gas engine was delivered to his home on Tuesday (Dec. 19). The motorhome has a retail value of $46,000.

Loomis was picked from more than 40,000 entries in the “The Great RV Giveaway” contest which was launched during the Florida RV Trade Association’s Tampa Supershow last January.

Entries were submitted at consumer shows and over the Internet by way of the www.winrv.com website that Gulf Stream owns.

The mayor of Roanoke and executives from Gulf Stream and Workhorse surprised Loomis when they delivered his coach on Tuesday.

“I’ve never won anything before, but I’ve always wanted an RV,” Looms said.

The second prize in the contest was a 2001 Gulf Stream Ameri-Lite Travel Trailer valued at $12,000 and the third prize was a 43-inch TV valued at $2,000.
