RVBusiness magazine recently released the list of its 2019 Top 50 RV Dealers in North America Awards recipients, which included Voyager RV Centre located in Winfield, B.C., which also received this year’s Gaylord Maxwell Innovation Award for creative business strategies.
“It was amazing just to be named among the Top 50 RV dealerships in North America again for the fifth straight year.” says Voyager RV Vice President Jason Friesen in a press release. “However, we were over the moon after hearing we were singled out as North America’s only Gaylord Maxwell Innovation Award winner for 2019.”
Before being invited to fill out the comprehensive application covering practices pertaining to consumers, staff, marketing, charitable endeavors and overall business procedures, dealers across the United States and Canada are first nominated by RV manufacturers who believe they’re outstanding in their field. An independent panel of industry experts then reviews the applications during an intensive two-day, closed-door session at the RV/MH Hall of Fame & Museum in Elkhart, Ind., known as the “RV Capital of the World.”
“Striving to be innovative or creative has never been a goal here at Voyager, our team is simply looking to find a better way to lead our business forward, even if that means creating a more difficult path,” Friesen commented. “Change isn’t usually easy, but it’s our belief that we must look ourselves in the mirror every day to try to be a better RV dealer for our customers, regardless of what our competitors choose to do or what the immediate impact to the bottom line might be. It’s an honor to be singled out based on this overall approach.”
The RVB Top 50 Awards honorees will be publicly recognized on stage Nov. 13 at an all-industry reception held during the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association International Convention/Expo at Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
