The owners of the Voyager RV Resort in Tucson, Ariz., have purchased the Juniper Ridge RV Resort and Country Club in the neighboring mountain community of Show Low for just over $1.5 million, according to local news reports.
The Show Low resort, among the holdings of the now defunct Baptist Foundation of Arizona, includes 229 RV sites and 136 acres of undeveloped land. Ike Isaacson, who founded the 1,576-site Voyager RV Resort in Tucson, recently purchased the Show Low property at a public auction with business partners Mark Wright and Wayne Smith.
“It’s in good shape, and we have been looking at it for a number of years,” Isaacson told The Arizona Republic. He added that the guests at his Tucson resort would likely spend their summers at the Show Low resort to escape the summer heat.
The Baptist Foundation filed for bankruptcy protection in 1999 amid allegations of a financial Ponzi scheme, the newspaper stated. Since then, a trust has been liquidating the foundation’s assets to reimburse investors
