Don Wallace, founder of Lazydays RV SuperCenter, will focus on long-term strategic growth plans for the company as he takes on a new role as chairman of the board.
Wallace’s appointment as chairman is part of a succession plan announced by the Seffner-based company in a press release.
Under the plan, John Horton was promoted to CEO, the position formerly held by Wallace, and will manage Lazydays’ daily operations.
Horton, who began working for Lazydays in April 2001, was named COO in July 2001.
Wallace founded Lazydays in 1976 and has guided the company’s growth over the years with sales of more than $795 million in 2004.
