Editor’s Note: The following update by U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski offers a recap of her insights during last week’s Elkhart RV Open House.

This week we marked the start of a new chapter for the RV industry and an exciting new phase for American manufacturing.

The RV Technical Institute in Elkhart will lead the way to strengthen our manufacturing workforce for the 21st century. I had a chance to attend the grand opening and see firsthand what an incredible opportunity this is for our community, our workforce, and our future.

Thanks to this critical investment, Hoosier workers will be able to develop critical skills and local RV manufacturers and other businesses will be able to hire the best workers.

I also attended the RV Women’s Alliance breakfast hosted by Furrion in Elkhart.

t was great to see so many Hoosiers who share the same passion for growing and shaping this vital industry. The RV Women’s Alliance is an incredible opportunity to learn, build relationships, and succeed.

Right now, the future is bright for America’s RV industry, and for northern Indiana communities – because when the RV industry is strong, Hoosier families are thriving.
