The wholesale market stayed hot during June with Class A and Class C motorhomes and conventional and hybrid travel trailers leading the way, according to the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA).
Here is how the various product categories performed:
• Class C motorhome shipments from the factories to dealers soared 58% higher in June to 1,900 units. During the first half of this year, Class C deliveries were up 26% to 9,600 units.
• Class A motorhome deliveries were up 28% in June to 3,700 units. During the first half of this year, Class A shipments were up 15% to 19,700 units.
• Conventional and hybrid travel trailer shipments were up 26% in June to 12,200 units. After the first half of this year, travel trailer deliveries were up 17% to 65,400 units.
• Folding camper deliveries were up 18% in June to 4,000 units. After the first half of this year, folding camper shipments were up 6% to 24,800 units.
• Fifth-wheel shipments were up 15% in June to 5,500 units. After the first half of this year, fifth-wheel deliveries were up 13% to 32,400 units.
• Class B motorhome shipments were flat in June at 200 units. After the first six months of this year, Class B deliveries were up 15% to 1,500 units.
• Truck camper deliveries were flat during June at 900 units and they were flat during the first half of this year at 5,400 units.
