Motorhome manufacturers Winnebago Industries Inc. and Rexhall Industries Inc. will introduce models with new floorplans during the RV industry’s National Trade Show, which begins in Louisville on Tuesday (Dec. 3).
Winnebago will introduce its first triple-slide floorplans on its Ultimate Advantage and Ultimate Freedom diesel-pusher models, according to the Forest City, Iowa-based company.
Winnebago worked with Spartan Custom Chassis to use its Ulti-Bay chassis design to maximize efficiencies in terms of material use and storage space utilization. Spartan provides the front and rear sections of the chassis while Winnebago completes the midsection structure of the chassis and body with high, extremely spacious storage compartments in the area normally claimed by chassis rails.
Winnebago also will have innovative features in many of its models, including the Sleep Number Bed by Select Comfort and the BenchMark full comfort dinette, which was designed by Winnebago.
Meanwhile, Rexhall will debut four new models at Louisville, according to Bill Rex, chairman, president and CEO of the Lancaster, Calif., firm.
“These new models include two triple-slide gas motorhomes, a 34-foot entry-level diesel and a 40-foot quadruple-slide diesel,” Rex said.
In general, Rex said, the company will “refocus on the gas-powered side of the market as well as ensure our diesel offerings remain value leaders.”
