Forest City, Iowa-based Winnebago Industries Inc. announced the promotion of Karen Post to the position of corporate controller. A 35-year veteran of Winnebago, Post is responsible all financial reporting, SOX, general ledger, payroll and fixed asset management for the company.
“Karen is an extremely respected and valuable part of our finance team, with an outstanding work ethic and strong consensus building skills,” said Sarah Nielsen, Winnebago Vice President and CFO, in a press release. “Her significant knowledge of historical processes will play a key role in our implementation of modern financial and operational systems, which will greatly benefit the company for many years to come.”
Post joined Winnebago in 1979 as a cost accountant and has worked in various financial positions since that time, most recently serving as financial reporting manager.
A native of Waterloo, Iowa, Post earned a bachelor’s from Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa, with majors in accounting and business administration.
She is a member of SEC Professionals Group, and serves as synod secretary for the Western Iowa Synod of the ELCA.
