Winnebago Industries Inc. has received a hazard control recognition award from the Iowa-Illinois Safety Council. According to a press release, the award was announced at the safety council’s professional development conference and expo held in Dubuque, Iowa, April 22-24. Winnebago was one of 101 entries from industries and government agencies in Illinois and Iowa. The company submitted hazard control projects and programs designed to improve the safety culture of the organization. Specific strategies implemented included adding slip-resistant paint to selected areas, fire safety precautions and the installation of adjustable work stations for improved ergonomics. “Employees at Winnebago are the company’s greatest asset,” said Vice President of Manufacturing and Safety Committee Chairman Daryl Krieger. “This award is a compliment to everyone’s commitment to improving safety.” Show in the photo are Safety Council members (L-R) First Row: Colleen Bagley, Pete Visser, Eric Rossmiller.
