Under the heading of “Winnebago Redefined,” Winnebago Industries Inc. held its 2018 Dealer Meeting March 8-11 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. During the gathering, attendees had the opportunity to hear updates from the Winnebago leadership team including President and CEO Michael Happe, Vice President and General Manager, Towable Business, Scott Degnan and Vice President and General Manager, Motorhome Business, Brian Hazelton. Other highlights included a keynote speech from inspirational adventurer and best-selling author Erik Weihenmayer, breakout sessions on key industry topics and a product display featuring the latest Winnebago motorhomes and towables. “It’s basically everything that you’d want to know as a Winnebago dealer,” Chad Reece, director of corporate relations, told RVBUSINESS.com prior to the meeting. “It’s our opportunity to build on the relationships, to share information and more importantly – probably the most important part – is the interaction between our dealers and their feedback to us, the key employees who will be attending. It’s a terrific opportunity to interact with our dealers and that’s our main goal.” The event represented a reboot of Winnebago’s traditional Dealer Days, which for years brought dealers to the company’s production complex in Forest City, Iowa, but was dropped in 2017.
