A new 201-horsepower 2.8L VR6 fuel-injected gas engine with a 4-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission provides 44% more power for the newly introduced 2002 Winnebago Industries Inc. Rialta Class C motorhome.

The 22-foot unit comes on a 7,275-pound gross vehicle weight rated (gvwr) Volkswagen chassis.

Interior features on the Rialta 22QD models include an extra-large rear window, a dinette that converts into a sleeping area about the size of a double bed, a two-burner recessed range, microwave oven, refrigerator, sink and flip-up countertop. The 22FD models include underbed storage areas big enough for bulky or oversized items.

The suggested base retail price is $57,858.

During 2000, there were 988 new Rialta units retailed, making it the sixth-most popular Class C brand, according to independent market research firm Statistical Surveys Inc.
