Winnebago Industries Inc. notified state and local officials Wednesday of plans to “permanently close” the RV maker’s plant on East 1st Ave. in Junction City, Ore.
KMTR reported that the company also set out a schedule for when it plans to conduct layoffs, as well as the category of worker to be cut.
The notification is part of the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification or WARN Act. The 1988 federal law requires companies to provide advance notification of large layoffs.
