Winnebago Industries Inc., Forest City, Iowa, today (Jan. 24) announced the appointment of Robert J. Olson as senior vice president of operations.
Olson, 54, was elected to the newly created position by the motorhome builder’s board of directors.
Winnebago said that Olson’s expanded responsibilities would include “all aspects of the operations of the company, while continuing to oversee manufacturing operations.”
Olson began with Winnebago in 1969 as an hourly production worker. He served in several management and manufacturing-related positions, most recently as vice president of operations.
“Bob’s long tenure with the company and his solid background in manufacturing management suit him well to expand his scope of involvement,” said Winnebago President Ed Barker. “Bob plays an integral role in decision making for the company.”
