One of Wisconsin’s largest RV dealers plans to open a store in Janesville after the first of the year.
The Gazette Xtra reported that with dealerships in Sturgeon Bay and Neenah, Quietwoods RV Sales & Service has been in business for more than 30 years, said Jim Lombard, general manager.
Quietwoods is leasing the building at 1710 W. Highway 14, just west of the intersection with Highway 51 on the city’s northwest side.
The site was the former home of Janesville RV Center, which JR and Troy Tofte founded in 1991.
“Janesville RV has closed its doors,” Lombard said. “We are not taking over the business. We are just leasing the building for our third location.”
Lombard said inventory will be removed and the building will be cleaned and organized to the company’s specifications.
Sales likely will begin in January in advance of a grand opening later in spring, he said. A new inventory will arrive in Janesville, and the company likely will sell five or six lines of RVs.
