Woodall Publications Corp. released the 2005 edition of its North American Campground Directory while marking 70 years of service in the camping industry.
The directory includes more than 14,000 listings of commercial and public RV parks and campgrounds. Each privately owned campground has been personally inspected and rated by one of Woodall’s rep teams.
Campground listings offer detailed information for RVers, including driving directions, overnight camping fees, pet restrictions, Internet availability, handicap accessibility and site widths.
The directory also provides travel information for each state/province that highlights local attractions and points of interest, event listings, shopping opportunities and travel information sources.
New this year are “at-a-glance” charts and displays, identifying RV parks and campgrounds that welcome big rigs, and are Internet-friendly or pet friendly. Also new are handy charts, which feature select RV dealers offering sales and service.
“We made more than 280,000 changes to this year’s directory to keep it current,” said Ann Emerson, associate publisher for Woodall’s. “That’s why RVers have relied on Woodall’s for 70 years. It’s the most complete and accurate directory in the industry. And as a tribute to our readers, we’ve dedicated the 2005 edition to the highways of yesteryear.”
In addition to the North American Campground Directory, Woodall’s also offers 2005 editions of its Eastern, Western and seven regional campground guides: Canada, Far West, Great Lakes, New York/New England & Eastern Canada, Mid Atlantic, The South and Frontier West/Great Plains & Mountain Region.
Available at bookstores and RV dealers, the North American Campground Directory retails for $21.95 ($34.95 in Canada) while the Regional Guides retail for $9.95 ($15.95 in Canada).
Woodall’s is a subsidiary of Affinity Group Inc., parent of RV Business and RVBUSINESS.com.
