A convention representing a $150 billion industry – at which an array of RV industry companies are exhibiting — is continuing to grow in Indianapolis.
Inside INdiana Business reported that the Michigan-based NTEA — the association for the work truck industry — will kick off its annual Work Truck Show today (March 14) at the Indiana Convention Center.
Executive Director Steve Carey says this year’s version of the Work Truck Show will occupy the entire facility and is being held in conjunction with a Green Truck Summit, “the industry’s premier conference on clean energy innovations for commercial vehicles.”
Last year, the multiday event drew around 12,000 attendees. In an interview with Inside INdiana Business, Carey said organizers are looking to increase this year’s attendance numbers.
This year marks the fourth consecutive year the show has been held in Indianapolis. More than 500 companies will be exhibiting in the space, 50 of which are headquartered in Indiana.
Carey says it’s the biggest show of its kind that pulls in attendees from throughout the world and features former NFL greats Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long serving as guest speakers. He noted that Indianapolis is centrally-located for industry players and the city’s downtown is well-suited for venders and participants to “really kind of take over the downtown for the week.”
