RVers and NASCAR fans Bob and Paula Young of East Moline, Ill., finally managed to make it to a big race, thanks to the Workhorse Custom Chassis NASCAR VIP Racing Weekend drawing.
The drawing, entered via the Workhorse website, www.workhorse.com, provided a prize package of premium seating, Workhorse VIP Campground camping, VIP pit passes and Workhorse wearable items for the Busch Series and Winston Cup races at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth March 29 and 30.
Workhorse sponsors the campgrounds at Texas Motor Speedway.
The current Workhorse contest offers a similar prize package for the 2004 Winston Cup weekend at the speedway. Those interested should log on to the Workhorse website by Aug. 31, complete the entry form and answer a brief consumer survey.
As the 2003 winners, the Youngs found the prize a dream come true. “It means a lot to us. We are both avid NASCAR fans and have wanted to get to one of the big races for years,” Bob Young said.
The Youngs happen to own a 2003 Fleetwood Bounder 36S on a Workhorse W22 chassis and are not bashful regarding how they feel about the platform.
“We love our Workhorse chassis and have been telling everyone about how well it performs,” said Paula Young. “I haven’t had to wear my motion sickness arm bands since we got the Workhorse chassis.”
“It was like trading in a Chevy Cavalier for a Corvette,” added Bob Young.
