Gas engine chassis supplier Workhorse Custom Chassis has scheduled more demonstration drives at major RV rallies in a “continuing effort to communicate with the end users of its platforms,” according to the company.
This summer and fall, demonstration rides will be offered by Workhorse at the Great North American RV Rally in Pomona, Calif., June 27-30; the Pennsylvania RV & Camping Show in Harrisburg, Pa., Sept. 9-15; and the Family Motor Coach Association’s (FMCA) 68th Premier International Motorhome Extravaganza in Hutchinson, Kan., Oct. 1-3.
RVers interested in a demo drive should go to the Workhorse display to ask for one and they will be asked to fill out a questionnaire afterwards.
Earlier this year, Workhorse, Union City, Ind., conducted demo drives during the Florida RV Trade Association’s Tampa Supershow in January and the FMCA’s Winter Convention in Perry, Ga., in March. During the demo drives, Workhorse personnel learned first-hand what RVers like and dislike about their motorhomes.
Many of those taking the demo drives earlier this year reported that coaches on Workhorse chassis drive like diesel engine units and they liked the feel of the transmission down-shifting when they were slowing to a stop, according to Workhorse.
