Gas-engine Class A motorhome chassis supplier Workhorse Custom Chassis LLC has signed a multi-year agreement to sponsor the 8,500 RV campsites at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth.
Terms of the agreement were not revealed but Workhorse will have the right to name the three campgrounds located on the property outside the speedway. Also, every camper will get a registration packet including Workhorse literature and a newsletter with a racing theme.
“By sponsoring campgrounds we can be a direct part of the experience that people have with their motorhomes,” said Richard Fish, vice president of sales and marketing for Workhorse. “We also can talk to thousands of motorhome owners directly and learn what they like and dislike. The fact that they’re also NASCAR fans makes it even better.”
This year, the Texas Motor Speedway will host a NASCAR Winston Cup race on April 7; the NASCAR Busch Grand National Series on April 6; the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series on June 7 and Sept. 13; the Indy Racing League on June 8 and Sept. 15 and the Pennzoil World of Outlaws on April 5 and 6, Sept. 12 and 14.
Workhorse also will conduct on-site events throughout the race year that will provide added benefits to RVers owning motorhomes on Workhorse chassis.
The Workhorse sponsorship includes the unreserved, reserved and VIP camping spaces at the speedway.
The Reserved Workhorse VIP Camping area is located just outside the track across from the The Speedway Club. Free VIP “perks” include paved, oversized sites, 24-hour security, a prime location near the grandstand, one free water supply and waste stop per weekend and a free newspaper each morning.
The Reserved Workhorse Camping area is located outside of Turn 3 and is near shower and restroom facilities.
The Unreserved Workhorse Camping Area is located outside of Turn 3 and there is tram service to the shower and restroom facilities.
