The RVDA Education Foundation Inc.’s RV Learning Center, with the California RV Dealers Association (CalRVDA), is working with Chuck Marzahn of Marzahn & King Consulting Inc. to produce a two-day parts personnel training workshop scheduled for April 25-26 in Ontario, Calif.
The program will work from the new Learning Center parts personnel curriculum developed in conjunction with Ohio State University. Topics covered during the workshop will include: effective parts management, understanding financial reports, controlling special orders, human resource management, effective pricing strategies and parts marketing.
“Chuck Marzahn has worked with hundreds of RV dealers to improve profits and productivity in the parts department,” said RV Learning Center Foundation Chairman Rick Horsey of Parkview RV Center, Smyrna, Del. “Chuck will combine his years of RV fixed operations experience with the tasks and skills analysis developed with Ohio State University to teach the principles needed to be effective in any size RV dealership.“
“This is a great opportunity for dealers in California and other western states,” said Skip Daum, CalRVDA executive director. “At our last annual meeting, CalRVDA members asked us for live training for their people. We teamed with the RV Learning Center to bring them this as the first offering.”
The cost for RVDA member dealers is $599 for the first participant and $549 for all others from the same dealership location. The cost for non-members is $839 for the first participant and $769 for other dealership personnel. Costs include all workshop materials and refreshments.
