Ron Henry wanted a recreational vehicle park that was different from the rest.

“I’ve been RVing for over 20 years and have been to a lot of parks around the country,” said Henry, the owner of Xtreme RV Resort in Eufaula, Okla.. “I wanted to start a park that I would like to stay at. From the beginning, I wanted something more than a resort. This is my first venture. I’ve always enjoyed RVing and boating. All of this came together for me.”

Muskogee Phoenix reported that Xtreme RV Resort in Eufaula had its grand opening last weekend.

The park offers more than a place to park an RV. It also will have an amphitheater, movie theater that seats 60 people, banquet hall that seats 200, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, basketball and volleyball courts. The site also has a storm shelter that can hold 300 people.

The resort is located at Lake Eufaula and across from Eufaula Cove Marina.

Henry is particularly excited as it becomes one of three Good Sam’s 10/10/10 parks in Oklahoma. Good Sam’s is a rating service based in Oxnard, California, that judges RV resorts on facility, restrooms and appeal. The Eufaula location got the highest rating in each category.
