TAMPA, Fla. – The Florida RV SuperShow, the nation’s largest RV retail event, long has been known as a bellwether for the industry’s prospects over the following year. Sponsored by the Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA), the nearly-week-long event features more than 1,300 RVs displayed by 35 dealerships.
If Day One of the show is any indicator, things are looking good for 2026.
Dave Kelly, FRVTA executive directory and show director, said this morning that opening-day attendance was 15,393, roughly a 5% decrease from last year.
Even so, he was hearing positive reports from participants.
“I’m actually hearing pretty good stuff from the manufactures and the dealers that I’ve talked to,” he said. “They were pretty happy with what they had yesterday. Tons of interest. Some deals written. Of course they’d always like to see more, but they were all pretty optimistic about how things are going.”
Jerimiah Dumka, vice president of sales for Alliance RV, was elated over his company’s first-day results.
“I felt like Traffic was amazing,” he said. “We’re up 20% year-over-year. Last year was our best year for this show and we are up 20% in our display. It’s been phenomenal. And it’s been big stuff, too – Paradigm, Valor, Avenue.”
He said while over the past couple of shows sales were solid, there were plenty of tire kickers. This year’s collection of consumers is more eager to buy, perhaps indicating a level of pent-up demand.
“The people coming in were serious. They came in, they sat, they bought,” he said.
