HOLLAND, Mich. — Jeremy Smit, RV specialist, has been with Holland Motor Homes (HMH) in Holland, Mich. for over 35 of the dealership’s 51 years serving luxury motorhome buyers from all over the Midwest. Today, the company sells a unique and highly focused lineup of premium motorhome brands. Its inventory includes models from such OEMs as Leisure Travel Vans, Renegade, and ShowHauler Super C motorhomes.
“We’ve been in business since 1975,” said Smit, on hand during a Michigan monsoon in mid-April to showcase the newest Leisure Travel Vans Unity TBX4 adventure offering for 2026. “We started with a Class A diesel pusher market, and as we saw the market trending smaller, we got on board with Leisure Travel because it fit our business model. We have always concentrated on higher end product.”
RVBusiness got a sneak peek at one of the few of new Unity TBX4 to enter the U.S. from the Winkler, Manitoba, Can.-based builder.
Smit said HMH has been selling Leisure Travel Vans motor homes for about 10 years, adding that he enjoys the benefits of the high-quality Class B+ products from the manufacturer.
“It’s the quality control and attention to detail,” he elaborated. “As far as a company, they are one of the few that if the lawyers would still let us do business on a handshake, that is a company we would do it with. They stand behind their product and their word is good.”
Smit had the new Unity TBX inside a prep bay out of the rain for the walkaround.
Exterior Features
The Unity TBX and TBX4 are two-wheel and four-wheel versions of the new adventure floor plan built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500. It’s a two-liter diesel twin turbo, 4-cylinder with a 9-speed transmission. Chassis weight rating is 11,030 pounds with a gross combined vehicle rating of 15,250 for plenty of stuff. Towing capacity is 5,000 pounds.
Smit said that with this Unity, Leisure Travel Vans is after two adventure style camping families, one 4WD off road, one not, but both wanting massive storage capacity with a Class-A-sized, pass through compartment in the rear of the coach that can easily handle four bicycles. The wheelbase is 170-inches providing stability under load.
The fiberglass and hatch work on the exterior is impeccable with a new profiled flush door. According to Smit, exterior finishing includes three coats of paint, two coats of clear, each buffed out before the next.
Around the rest of the coach streetside, lithium battery compartments are easily accessible with a standard 270-amp hour lithium battery. Most opt for a second battery for a total of 540 amps of power. The Unity TBX and TBX4 are made for boondocking.
“These buyers want to be outdoors,” he said. “This means they need power remotely. So with solar, lithium, and inverter technology, automatic generator start systems, solar systems, and a 12-volt compressor fridge, it allows them to do a lot more.”
A 4,000 watt Flex Power generator is roadside.
Interior Features
At six foot five inches Smit had plenty of headroom as he showcased the inside of the Unity TBX4 that sleeps four. The front bed and seating area converts from a two person forward facing couch with seat belts to a dining area that could potentially seat five and then to a queen sized bed. In the rear of the Unity, twin beds easily convert to a king sized bed with the flip of a shelf from below. Storage and even a hanging clothes closet lay under the curbside bunk.
The rest of the interior has the signature Leisure Travel Vans well lighted interior with clever storage and features at every turn. A Firefly Multiplex controls and monitors all systems.
The new Unity TBX4 has an initial MSRP of $265,000 to $280,000 depending on AWD and option choices. Full production is now underway.
