WHEELING, Ill. – RV Designer (RVD), a recognized leader in merchandising excellence throughout the domestic U.S. aftermarket, deploys thoughtful retail expertise with clean, colorful, symmetrical and effective displays and PlanoGrams, according to a company release.
A key category within replacement hardware is vinyl insert trim. RV owners regularly replace OE-installed trim with fresh coils in various colors, lengths and styles. To make the consumer selection and shopping experience better, RVD recently introduced an innovative range of “Cube” style racks designed to hold vinyl insert trim coils vertically, while assorting at “eye level.”
“Retail science is clear. Present key movers at eye level for easy locating. Make it easy for a consumer to physically grab the item off the shelf. They’re now 50% on the way to a satisfied purchase. We go to great lengths to get them to that point,” RVD President John Tinghitella said. “The Cube concept also has the side benefit of reducing physical space on the gondola by 60%, allowing for improved ‘dollar per square inch’ performance.”
There are six dedicated Cubes in the planogram (KIT-IT2), covering 12 of the highest moving insert trim products including standard, narrow and heavy duty.
“We assume all dealer Parts & Accessory stores are space constrained,” Tinghitella added. “That’s not always the case, but by emphasizing ‘productive space’ merchandising, we can help dealers maximize the value of every inch. Thus, increasing product visibility, improving the consumer’s shopping experience, and delivering more sales from the same footprint.”
