RICHMOND, B.C. – The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association of Canada (RVDA of Canada) today announced President Eleonore Hamm will retire effective December 31, 2026, concluding a distinguished 31-year career serving Canada’s recreation vehicle industry, according to a press release.

Hamm joined RVDA of Canada in 1995 as an executive assistant and later served as Executive Vice-President before being appointed President in 2009. Throughout her tenure, she worked closely with boards of directors, provincial and regional dealer associations, government officials and industry partners across Canada and North America.

“Eleonore has spent 31 of our association’s 40 years helping shape both RVDA of Canada and the industry it serves,” said RVDA of Canada Board Chair Ken Dobson. “She brought a rare combination of grace and grit to her work: thoughtful, composed and diplomatic, but remarkably persistent when an issue mattered to our dealers. Her credibility was earned through preparation, relationships and follow-through, and the national voice Canadian RV dealers have today is inseparable from Eleonore’s work.”

Under Hamm’s leadership, RVDA of Canada strengthened government relations and advocacy on key issues including taxation, trade, regulation, workforce development and competitiveness, while advancing dealer education and industry collaboration. She also guided the association through economic change, trade uncertainty, supply-chain disruption and the COVID-19 pandemic, keeping Canadian RV dealers’ concerns visible to policymakers and industry leaders.

In recognition of her contributions to advocacy, education, collaboration, and the advancement of the RV industry, Hamm was inducted into the RV/MH Hall of Fame as a member of its Class of 2021.

“It has been an honour and privilege to serve the RVDA of Canada and work alongside so many dedicated dealers, partners, volunteers, and industry leaders over the years,” said Hamm. “I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together and confident in the bright future ahead for the association and the Canadian RV industry.”

RVDA of Canada will celebrate Hamm’s career and contributions throughout the fall through member stories, industry events, and special recognitions, culminating at the RV Dealers International Convention/Expo in Las Vegas.

“On behalf of our members, directors, volunteers, partners and colleagues across the industry, we extend our deepest gratitude to Eleonore for her extraordinary service,” Dobson added. “The relationships she built, the standards she established and the credibility she created will remain an important part of RVDA of Canada’s foundation for years to come.”
